One minor has been arrested and another three are being investigated on suspicion of being responsible for 30 burglaries from homes and garages in the Valencia area of l’Horta Nord.
Operation ‘Canixech’ saw five people investigated, four of them minors, for crimes of robbery with force.
The officers recovered objects from robberies valued at around 16,000 euro in an operation that attributed the gang to crimes committed in Rafelbunyol, Pobla de Fanals, Museros, Massalfasar, Massamagrell and Albuixech.
The operational phase culminated in the arrest of an elderly man and the investigation of four other young people, all of Spanish nationality, as presumed authors of 30 crimes of robbery with force in several localities. The ‘modus operandi’ was the same: broken locks, perimeter fence jump or elimination of security measures. They moved mainly at night time so as not to be detected and usually on mopeds or bicycles.
In addition to recovering stolen property, the officers seized mopeds which had been disassembled into parts, ten bicycles also disassembled, and 13 moped tires, in addition to a modified compressed airgun, a revolver box, hunting cartridges, a bag of gunpowder and two mobile phones.
The value of the recovered items was put at around 16,000 euro.
