Having suffered a heart attack on an L.A. bound flight, actress Carrie Fisher has died, according to her publicist.

Famous for playing one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars films, Fisher, who was born on October 21, 1956 in Beverly Hills, California, died on December 27, 2016.

She was the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher and was also an acclaimed writer and producer.

She had most recently been seen on the Channel 4 game show, 8 Out of 10 Cats.
