Myleene Klass is to host BBQ Champ, the brand new five part itv series for the Summer which features Adam Richman.
A team of ten contenders from across the country will compete against each other to become the first BBQ Champ and while Myleene hosts the series, Man vs Food star Adam Richman will judge, alongside British chef and restaurateur Mark Blatchford.
Each week, our contenders will prove themselves in challenges that will sort the BBQ champs from the BBQ chumps.  From creating mouth watering BBQ masterpieces to reinventing culinary classics for the coals and catering for the masses, each contestant will have to try their best to win Adam and Mark’s approval.
Of course like any great BBQ, they’ll have to contend with the great British weather as well as Adam and Mark, as one contender will be sent home every week.  There’s a cash prize of £25,000 for the winning barbecuer, so the competition really will be sizzling!
Myleene is no stranger to TV, having hosted shows including Popstar to Operastar and The One Show.  Mark Blatchford is a newcomer to TV, but he brings a wealth of cooking experience to the series.  Mark started his career at Claridges where he honed his fine dining skills and then worked around the world launching restaurants including Soho House New York before returning home to open the critically acclaimed BBQ restaurants The Beckford Arms in Wiltshire and the John Doe restaurant in Notting Hill.
Myleene said: “I am beyond excited to be hosting BBQ Champ. It’s no secret that I’m partial to a good burger, so to be able to see culinary magic happening as well as get to sample it in situ is my absolute dream job”
Mark said: “As a chef and a bloke I’ve been cooking over and in charcoal & wood for the past 15 years. It is without doubt the tastiest, most versatile and yet most natural cooking method there is.  To be part of the BBQ judging team alongside Adam Richman is brilliant and I can’t wait to get stuck in to see what the competitors can do.”
