American actress Julianne Moore received the 2,507th star on Hollywood Boulevard’s “Walk of Fame” Thursday, October 3, during a ceremony surrounded by colleagues from her film career.
Wearing a yellow dress and white heels, Moore unveiled her star, located opposite Hollywood’s historic Pantages Theatre, one week before the release of her latest film “Carrie,” a remake of the classic 1976 horror by Brian de Palma (adapted from Stephen King’s novel).
“Growing up, it never even occurred to me that it was possible to be an actor for a living,” said the 52-year-old critically-acclaimed actress.
“But I did it because my favorite thing to do was read and it was a way for me to imagine that I was in the book and I loved it,” Moore said.
