In an unmissable new entertainment format, six celebrities will be plucking, preening and pampering members of the public as Salon Supremo Herbert Howe trains them up to be the very best in the beauty business. Herbert, who has over 50 years’ experience in hair and beauty and is himself a Liverpool icon will tutor the celebrities and set and judge all the challenges. As part of their training, the six celebs will perform all manner of today’s most wanted procedures, including; vajazzles, back, sack and crack waxes, fish pedicures, tattooing and even vampire facials. There’s a special ‘certificate of beauty’ from Herbert for the celebrity at the top of the leader board at the end of the series.

Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor: Entertainment, Daytime & Soaps said, “I’m taking great delight in imagining how our celebrities are going to cope with tattooing, not to mention the body piercing. Would you let an ex-soap star near your nether regions…?”

Sumi Connock, Creative Director of Entertainment for ITV Studios said: “Liverpool is such a fun and vibrant city, which makes it the perfect location for Celebrity Super Spa. Herbert is a Liverpool legend and takes the business of beauty very seriously. He won’t hesitate to put the celebrities through their paces!”
