75201324-1228POLICE have released an e-fit image of a man who is believed to have grabbed a teenager in Coventry.

The 17-year-old girl was approached by the man as she walked along Hilmorton Road in Woodend on October 8 last year. He tried to pull her towards a silver Peugeot 206 but she managed to break free and run off.

The victim was not hurt but was left very shaken following the attack.

Two men who had previously been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident have now been released without charge.

PC Stefan Ashton, from Coventry Police, said: “This was a frightening attack for the victim and we want to ensure that the man responsible is brought to justice.

“We are appealing to members of the public to help us identify the man or provide us with any more information about what happened.

“As ever we would ask anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in their local community to report it to police as soon as possible.

“Our neighbourhood officers are continuing to work closely with schools in the Wood End area and any reports of this nature will be taken very seriously.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
