Q: HOW DO WE COMBAT THE CRISIS?
A: With strippers and mud wrestlers, of course! That, at least, is the solution that the La Campana restaurant in Ribarroja has found, offering special ‘Sexy Shows’ on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, along with your meal.
Workers in the local industrial estate seem to be supporting the initiative, with tables full for every meal. Originally starting as a single show each week, demand has led to the increase in events that now take to the floor on three days, playing to a packed house each time.
Friday is said to be the busiest day when places seem to go quicker than any other day and parking at the restaurant becomes a problem.
Featuring nudity and lap dancers, the show frequently features the use of a small, purpose built pool, where the naked mud fights take place, and often feature bingo with the prize being the chance to join the girls in the pool, as they frolic around, naked but for their mud covering.
Arancha Folch, one of the strippers who work in the restaurant, says that this is not the weirdest place she has performed, but is different because customers are eating.
The owner of the restaurant, Maria José Murciano, is said to be “very pleased” with his business development skills and that his is still one of the busiest restaurants of many that operate around this bustling work zone.
