Clever Dog Saves Herself
This is Mia, a 1 year old Belgian Malinois, who managed to survive for 6 hours in a house fire, by hiding in a bath tub in the basement of her South Carolina home.
According to her owner, Chris Brumby, Mia has taught herself to open doors, which is how she was able to open the four doors necessarily to reach the bathtub. Firefighters’ water soon came pouring into the basement, filling up the bathtub, and keeping Mia safe until she was rescued.
“She acts like a human for most things,” Brumby told WYFF News 4. “And that kind of showed it. She knew where to go and hide.”
