Car Salesmans Car Proposal
When words failed used car salesman Pierre Schwarz he decided to let his motors do the talking to his girlfriend – and used them to spell out the words in German saying “Will You Marry me?”.
The 28-year-old from Gerlingen in Germany said: “I love Melanie so much that I knew she was the one for me but I just didn’t know how to pop the question. After chatting to a pal work he joked that I was so good at selling cars and was never lost for words it was funny that I didn’t know how to say a single short sentence to the woman I loved.
“Then it came to me to let the cars do the talking for me for a change, so I got my pals to help me rearrange the cars and then I invited Melanie over to see me. She didn’t get anything although she was puzzled as to why the cars were all part in a funny way but obviously couldn’t read the writing. I told her it was a new sales technique – then asked her to join me on a crane ostensibly to show her where we might put some new buildings.
“Once we were up in the air of course she was able to read the words the cars spelt out – I knew that because she suddenly started shouting with joy. Once she had finished shouting she flung her arms round me and said yes yes yes.”
The romantic car seller had even put a hearty red tape on the roof of the showroom to reinforce the point.
He had to park a total of 86 cars in his sales ground to spell out the words “Willst du mich heiraten?” – meaning Will you marry me?”
Fiance Melanie Drechsler added: “I really had no idea what he had planned – although he was acting a bit strange. He’s such a romantic though and I had no hesitation in saying yes straight away.”
