Leona Lewis visits abused bears
Pop star Leona Lewis is continuing her work for the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), visiting a bear sanctuary in Romania for the second time this year.
The animal lover is a spokesperson for the organisation and visited the compound over the summer to see the abused grizzlies, who were saved from a life of misery as tourist attractions.
The star was so overwhelmed by the experience, she’s visited the sanctuary for a second time – and helped workers feed the bears during their meal time.
Lewis, a staunch vegetarian, says, “These bears have suffered horrible tragedies but now they have an amazing second chance at life in a safe and peaceful environment.”
