Kelly to make explosive return to Emmerdale

Emmerdale super-minx Kelly Windsor is set to make a return to the Yorkshire village. And if her previous stint in the Dales is anything to go by, all hell is about to break loose.

Adele Silva, who plays the gold-digging maneater, has given up trying to find work in LA and decided to make an explosive comeback to the soap.

As you’ll recall, Kelly was last seen fleeing the village three years ago, after being ditched by fiancé Jimmy King (Nick Miles) on her wedding day, when he discovered she’d aborted their child in order to sign a modelling deal. Nice!

Jimmy has moved on since Kelly’s disappearing act, and is now living in domestic bliss – well, kind of – with his wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and daughter Angelica. By all accounts, Kelly is intent on revenge, so we can’t wait to see what she has in store for poor Jimmy and his family.

An excited Adele told the Daily Mail: “I absolutely love playing Kelly. She’s going to be three years older but probably not three years wiser! Whenever Kelly is around, she’s always caught up in something which makes her a lot of fun.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the new, talented cast – as well as catching up with old friends. The chance to come back was just too good an opportunity to turn down.”

And it’s not just Adele who’s looking forward to her return. Emmerdale’s series producer Gavin Blyth sounds over the moon about the actress reprising her role. “Kelly is as manipulative and destructive as ever, and there will be no going back from the damage she looks set to cause Jimmy,” he revealed. “The story will ensure an explosive start to 2011 for Emmerdale.”
