Double drunk fine
Drink driver Walter Moser, 42, who was caught drink-driving twice in one night has had an appeal thrown out by Austria’s highest court after he claimed it was unfair he had been fined twice for the same drinking binge.
Moser had been stopped by cops last March near his home in the capital Vienna, but when they had gone he climbed back in the car and carried on driving – and was stopped again 30 min later.
He claimed the two fines of 900 pounds and 1,700 pounds were unfair as they were effectively the same drinks that he was being fined for – but the High Court rejected the appeal.
