Lemur runs rings round rescuers
This daredevil ring-tailed lemur is running rings around wildlife experts after escaping from Czech Republic’s Ostrava zoo.
The distinctive black and white beast has been missing for nearly a week after giving his keepers the slip at feeding time.
Since then he’s been spotted raiding garden fruit trees, attacking washing drying on lines, chasing off pet dogs and cars for their food and even stalking shoppers in supermarket car parks.
“We try to bring our animals up in a natural environment but he seems to have adapted to an urban lifestyle very quickly if he’s trying to mug shoppers for their trolleys,” said one keeper.
