Coronation Street 16th to 20th August 2010

Monday 16th August Episode 1

Sparks fly between Nick and Peter. Peter’s on the warpath as he hounds the Platts for information about Lewis and snaps at Leanne for her part in failing to spot his scam. Nick attempts to console her but when Peter finds them together in the pub the two men lock horns again. As Nick defends both Leanne and Audrey Peter flies at him bundling him out of the pub and onto the street. Ciaran steps in but will he be able to prevent an almighty bust up?

Audrey licks her wounds. Audrey hides away heartbroken and humiliated. Meanwhile Ken and Deirdre try to pick up the pieces of their marriage once again.

Bill has a big decision to make. Owen subtly uses Jason to convince Bill to sell up. He then plays off Eileen and Liz as he reveals they’ll be seeing a lot more of him.

Elsewhere Leanne urges Natasha to tell Nick about the baby but she’s convinced he won’t want to know. Sally forces a gutted Sophie to cut all contact with Sian.

Monday 16th August Episode 2

Nick and Leanne are caught in the act. Leanne’s sick of the way Peter treats her and as they row she responds to a text from Janice to meet her at the factory. But it’s not Janice it’s Nick (he got hold of her phone). Furious at his deception Leanne goes to leave but Nick begs her to stay and talk. Leanne relents and as Nick insists she deserves better than Peter he moves closer, making it clear she has other options. Will the pair kiss and when Natasha bursts in will she finally reveal she’s pregnant?

Audrey shocks Gail with a drastic decision. Unable to face the world Audrey reveals she still intends to move to Greece albeit on her own.

Sophie has a close shave right. When Sian visits Sophie while she’s working at the shop Sunita helps the girls keep their secret.

Elsewhere Bill agrees to a deal with Owen. Ken and Deirdre wash their dirty linen in public.

Thursday 19th August

Nick does a u-turn over ‘pregnant’ Natasha. As Natasha books in for an abortion Nick’s still reeling following her bombshell. But having been forced back to reality Leanne tells him she’s moved on and he should do the same. Back at home Leanne throws herself into her relationship with Peter while Nick heads out to talk to Natasha. As he tells her is future is with her, bringing up their baby Natasha insists it’s not that simple. Did Natasha go through with the abortion, has Nick left it too late?

Rita gives Audrey some plain truths. Giving her best ‘dust yourself down’ speech Rita tells Audrey she’s needed in the salon. Walking into David’s chaos she’s outwardly strong as she rolls up her sleeves and affirms she’s back.

Fiz returns with some surprising news for John. When Fiz arrives back from Majorca early John is about to confess all. But when she cuts him off by telling him she’s pregnant John’s stunned. Will he come clean about Colin as Fiz suggests they give their marriage one last chance?

Elsewhere Peter demands free haircuts at the salon until Lewis’ debt is repaid.

Friday 20th August Episode 1

Nick gatecrashes Natasha’s doctor’s appointment. As Nick fusses round Natasha he can’t wait to tell everyone the good news. Panicking she insists it’s too early but agrees to see the doctor. As Nick tells Leanne he now knows Natasha’s the one it’s clear he’s trying to convince himself as much as her. But alone with her GP Natasha reveals she’s had an abortion. Nick clearly has no idea and bursts in introducing himself as the baby‘s father. Is Nick about to get a rude awakening?

John struggles to find work. John’s determined to prove himself to Fiz and sets about looking for work. Peter offers him a job at the bookies but when it leads to another row between Peter and Leanne, John wonders if he’s hired after all.

Life’s a drag for Steve. Becky’s desperate for a cig but stays strong determined not to let anything derail their chances of adoption. But is Steve quite so committed?

Elsewhere Sian devises a way to see Sophie – by joining the church choir. Sophie feels guilty at using the church in this way but can’t resist.

Friday 20th August Episode 2

Nick loves Leanne but pledges himself to Natasha. As they leaves the doctors Natasha’s in a state of panic and with Nick talking to Gail she checks on patient confidentiality. She’s off the hook for now but knows she can’t keep it up for long. When Gail’s scathing of Nick’s news, insisting a baby won’t fix his relationship, he’s determined to make a public show. So when Fiz and John proudly announce in the Rovers that they’re expecting a baby, Nick reveals they’re starting a family too. Natasha’s horrified and when she finds Leanne crying in the backyard will she come clean?

Steve and Becky have pre-panel nerves. With talk of pregnancy filling the pub Becky’s hurt that Steve doesn’t seem to be taking the adoption seriously (he’s still smoking). Will Steve be able to convince her otherwise?

Ken and Deirdre’s marriage reaches crisis point. Admitting they can’t go on like this the Barlows talk honestly about their relationship which has been littered with adultery. Will they finally throw in the towel?

Elsewhere Leanne’s not happy as Peter forces Deirdre to resign then hires John. Vowing this is the fresh start he needed John sets fire to all Colin’s papers. Has he really got away with it?
