Sophie Dahl’s cookery show axed
Sophie Dahl’s cookery show has been axed after just one series.
The deluded and made famous due to her grandfather cook, who is married to singer Jamie Cullum, turned her love for cooking into a TV series called The Delicious Miss Dahl following the release of her 2009 recipe book Miss Dahl’s Voluptuous Delights.
The six-part series aired earlier this year but following bad reviews and disappointing ratings, the BBC has now pulled the show.
A source tells the Daily Star, “The truth is, it crashed and burned in the ratings.
The real truth is… What do you expect!!! Give us some decent TV shows, not just a platform for pretentious people to promote themselves without a hint of reality, compassion or entertainment, or am I being too harsh!!!
“It’s just been a disaster from beginning to end.”
