No more Sherlock for a year
Fans of popular new BBC drama Sherlock have a long wait for a second series – it could take more than a year to hit screens because the show’s writer is too busy working on Doctor Who.
The three-part detective show, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was watched by a whopping 7.5 million viewers on Sunday.
BBC drama chief Ben Stephenson admits he is keen to make more episodes – but the show’s writer Steven Moffat is tied up working on new ideas for episodes of the cult sci-fi drama.
Stephenson says, “We’d like to do more. But if we do, they won’t air for at least a year. Drama takes at least a year to get made and Steven is also really busy with Doctor Who.”
