The American tennis player, former world number one in the world, Jennifer Capriati, was admitted to hospital after being found in a hotel room, apparently having suffered an overdose.

The former tennis player is hospitalized in Riviera Beach (Florida, USA) and as reported by TMZ, she is out of danger.

Capriati has had several problems with drugs throughout her life, as well as alcohol. She was also prosecuted for the theft of a ring of little value in a supermarket.

Jennifer Capriati won fourteen titles, and three Grand Slams, Roland Garros (2001) and Australia’s Open (2001 and 2002).

After a break, the player returned to the courts until finally abandoning the game in 2004 due to her continued right shoulder injury.
