On Monday 10th May, friends and Coronation Street colleagues, including William Roache, Anne Kirkbride, Chris Gascoyne, Jane Danson, Sue Nichols, Malcolm Hebden and David Neilson pay tribute to the work of Maggie Jones in a special program to be aired on ITV 1.

With her blunt put-downs and witty one-liners, acid-tongued pensioner Blanche Hunt was one of Coronation Street’s most loved characters, entertaining millions as she gossiped about her neighbours.

Narrated by Denise Welch, the documentary looks back over the Blanche’s life, showing clips of her best moments, including her delight at Ken’s failures and her outrageously snide remarks at daughter Deirdre’s disastrous personal life.
