Nicola doesn’t help herself when she’s rude to police officer. Meanwhile, Viv ignores Bob’s pleas to retract her statement. He’s left deflated when she acts as if he’s betrayed her. At the police station, Nicola is devastated to learn she has been charged and could get six months in jail. She breaks down in Jimmy’s arms. When they return to the village, Nicola indignantly confronts Viv. Bob is shocked to hear Nicola faces prison. Disgusted, he walks away when Viv remains unapologetic. Chas is anxious when Cain tells her Aaron will be starting back at work tomorrow. She asks him not to let on he knows about Aaron’s sexuality. Chas confides her worries to Paddy, who assures her it will be good for Aaron.

Laurel is nervous for Nicola and after spending the day at the police station she is touched to arrive home to a romantic meal. She is grateful that Ashley has gone to so much effort and they embrace for the first time in a long time.
